Roulette is a wheel game consisting of 38 numbers along the borders of the roulette wheel. The numbers in the roulette wheel range from 0, 00, and 1 to 36. There are two types of roulette wheel:

• European roulette (is a single zero (0) slot)
• American roulette (is a double zero (00) slot)

General Game Proceeds

• For both the types of roulette, the wheel will be spun and the ball will be placed on the outer edge of the wheel.
• The players will place their bets on numbers or groups of numbers on the roulette wheel.
• If the ball falls on their bets on specific numbers or on a group of numbers, after they have completed their bets, the wheel will be rotated.
• As the wheel slows down from the spin, the ball will drop into one of the numbered pockets in the wheel where the player did make the bet, then they win the appropriate pay out, otherwise they loose the bet.

Numbering System In The Roulette Wheel

• Along the circumference of the roulette wheel, the numbering would have been done alternatively between even numbers and the odd numbers.
• The black and red colors are found alternatively for the pockets in the wheel.
• The zeros are numbered in green color.
• The American roulette has a double zero slot and the two zeros are placed in green colored pockets opposite to each other.
• The European roulette has a single zero slot and the zero will be marked in one green colored pocket.

Single Zero Slot Is Better Than Double Zero Slot

Since the European Roulette has a single zero slot, it has a higher chance of winning when compared to the American Roulette which has only a double zero slot. In the Roulette game, the two zeros which are of green color are placed on the opposite ends of the wheel.

The Betting Table Layout

• There are 3 columns situated in the table layout meant for placing the bets.  This is the place where all the 36 numbers are arranged and each column holds 12 numbers each.
• The red and black colors are arranged alternately.
• The numbering is done alternately as odd and even numbers.

The players can place their bets on one or more of the following:

• A set of numbers in the column.
• The first twelve, second twelve, and third twelve.

Inside Bets

Inside bets are those bets which are placed inside the numbers in the table layout.  The different types of inside bets are:

Outside Bets

Outside bets are mostly placed on batches of numbers and the chips are placed in respective places in the table layout outside in the border, therefore these bets are known as outside bets.  The difference types of outside bets are:

Betting Limitations

The advantage with the roulette betting system is that the players can place any number of wagers and many different types of bets for a single spin.

To aid the players to decide on the numbers the top right side of the screen displays the past numbers where the ball landed up after the spin came to a halt.

INSIDE BETS IN DETAIL

Straight Bet

A player is allowed to play with the chip placed on only one number and if he wins the game, then the player is paid in the ratio of 35:1.

Split Bet or Two Number Bet

A player is allowed to play with the chip placed in between two separate numbers and if the player wins then he will be paid in the ratio of 17:1.

Street Bet or Three Number Bet

A player is allowed to play the chip so as to cover three numbers in a row in a single bet. The player should place the bet on the outside line of the row and if the player wins then he will be paid with the ratio of 11:1.

Corner Bet

A player is allowed to play with the chip by placing it in center of four numbers and if the player wins then he will be paid in the ratio 8:1

Five Bet

A player can make his five number bet only on the numbers like 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 and the chip is placed on the line that is between the 0 and 1. If he wins then the player is paid in the ratio of 6:1.

Six Line Bet

In this type of bet, the player is allowed to bet on two rows of three numbers by just placing the chip in between the outside line of the last numbers of the two rows. If any of the 6 numbers comes up as the winning number then the player will be paid in the ratio of 6:1.

OUTSIDE BETS IN DETAIL

Any Red or Black Bet

A player can bet by just placing his chip on either a red or a black color. If the player wins then he will paid in the ratio of 1:1.

Any Number or High Number Bet

A player can bet by placing his chip on either 1 to 18 spot or on the 19 to 36 spot and only loses if and only if the ball comes up in the hole of 0 or 00. If the player wins then he will be paid in the ratio of 1:1.

Any Even or Odd Bet

A player can bet on whether the number will come up as even or odd. The player just needs to place his chip on the even spot or on the odd spot and loses if and only if the ball comes up in the hole 0 or the 00. If the player wins then he will be paid in the ratio of 1:1.

1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd Twelve

A player can bet in the roulette table by placing his chip in one of the three spots as the numbers between 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. If the player wins in the bet then he will be paid with the ratio of 2:1.

0 and 00 Bet

A player can bet by placing his chip on the number 0 or 00. If the player wins in the bet then he will be paid with the ratio of 35:1.

Column Bets

A player can bet by placing the chip on any single column of the three long columns of numbers. If the player wins then he is paid with the ratio 2:1.
