American roulette differs a bit from the European roulette in that it has a 0, 00.  The American Roulette is also known as the Double Zero Roulette. The double zero wheel is the American Roulette.

• American roulette has a 38 numbers in total which can be split as pockets for 1 to 36 and a pocket for 0, and a pocket for 00 in the wheel.
• Bets are made on the resting point of the ball in the wheel.
• After players make their bets, the wheel is spun or the spin button is clicked.
• If the ball rests on the number bet on by the player then they win.

Prior to beginning your play in the American roulette game need to get familiar with the table layout meant for betting in American Roulette.  The table layout consists of the following areas where you can make your bets:

• Inside bets
• Outside bets

Types of inside bets?

• Straight-up: You place your bet in one of the numbers in the table layout.  You place your chips in the middle of the number on the square.
• Split: You place your bet on two numbers that is on the horizontal or vertical line between the two numbers.
• Trio: A wager made on the intersecting point of 0, 1 and 2, or 00, 2 and 3.
• Street: When you bet on 3 numbers in a single horizontal line it is known as a street bet. You place the chip on the edge of the line of a number in the end of the line on the left or the right based on the table layout.
• Corner:  You bet on 4 numbers and you place the chips in the center point where the horizontal and the vertical lines of the numbers intersect each other.
• Six Line: You place the bets on 6 numbers, like placing the chip on the intersection of numbers, like placing 2 street bets in the same.

Types of outside bets?

• 1 to 18 bets: A wager on one of the first low eighteen numbers coming up.
• 19 to 36: A wager on one of the last high eighteen numbers coming up.
• Red or Black: A wager on the color the roulette wheel will show up with.
• Even or Odd: A wager on an even or odd number.
• Dozen Bets: A wager on the first (1-12), second (13-24), or third 12 (25-36) of numbers
• Column Bets: A wager on all 12 numbers on any of the three vertical lines.

You can make your wager on one or more kind of bets, there is no restriction on the number of bets you can make.  The payouts differ for each of the results that show up per house rules.
